Why have a tribute to a supplier in a project like this? The answer lies in the philosophy and service that Is Bill's hallmark. His company builds pickups that work, are predictable in operation and have that indefinable ability to help the musical process.

I finally arrived at the design of this guitar based on what I read on his site, the comments of his users and the feeling that I was in good hands if I needed help - I did!

Since chosing the L450 models, pickups in standard inductance, I have removed the front HB and added two Strat pickups.

Overall the guitar has a voice of it's own. rich and clear with pop. A responsive sound that is a bit unforgiving!

Position	Connection	Sound
One	Neck only	Full humbucker, extraordinary clarity and sparkle
Two	Neck & Bridge	Honky, Strat position 4 type sound - Ronnie Earl territory
Three	Bridge only	Some crackle and bite. Can be rolled back for a sweet country flavour
Four	Neck + Bridge 1/2 out of phase	Great Tele sound with a fuller flavour. Unusual dirty honk to it when overdriven - excellent
Five	Neck pickup with 10% less bass	Strat neck pickup sound. Very versatile lead sound, sweet to dirty.

The versatility of the pickup wiring is a bonus as was the appearance. I could make a guitar with a 60's car dashboard look about it. The esthetics were a major factor and the finished instrument is very special to look at. Quite elegant. You be the judge.
