The Kevcaster
Bult from Warmoth parts: Very versatile gigging guitar
Strat 'Clapton' profile Maple neck with Rosewood board
Stainless steel frets
Alder body routed for HB Single HB. Nitrocellulose paints
Warmoth Torty pickguard
TV Jones Classic at the bridge. Position 1
Strat sounds in 2 & 4 with the middle pickup in combination with neck or bridge
Fender Tex Mex in 5 at the neck.
Normal Tele type volume and tone and a Schaller 5 way
Fender 57/62 Strat in middle position - this single is not selected on it's own it only serves the front and rear piskups in combo. The middle position is a Tele type selecting front and rear pisckups.
I replaced the rather heavy Gotoh HB bridge with a Fender hardtail and found the sound improved considerably - more 'open' and responsive also unpredictably - better sustain
Has a Schaller 5 way multi switch to enable selection of front and rear pickups in the middle position as well as the Strat style 2 and 4 combinations.
Original spec was:
Bill Lawrence Twin Humbuckers - excellent pickups
